[HIATUS]
noun, from latin 'hiare', to open up
A hiatus is a linguistic phenomenon describing the meeting and succession of two vowels. This association creates an opening in a sentence, introducing a change of rhythm and a discontinuity.
Our Practice
The notions of openness, rupture and gaps to be exploited are at the origin of the creation of Hiatus studio.
Through our designs, we dream of inventing new experiences, practices and uses to revisit the way we interact with objects and the space around us.
The story
Hiatus studio was created by Mathilde Piel, a french architect and designer who completed her education at Central Saint-Martins London.
